Francis (Frank) Valenti

Frank Valenti,  MS, CRNA, NSPM-C, has been a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) since 2002.

Frank Valenti,  MS, CRNA, NSPM-C, has been a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) since 2002 and has practiced in both small rural hospitals and large urban medical centers. He has expertise in office-based anesthesia for dental procedures, having provided these services to several offices across New Hampshire and Maine as well as being the first CRNA in the state of New Hampshire to deliver in-office anesthesia to pediatric dental patients in 2017.

In 2009, Frank took advantage of an opportunity to learn interventional pain management. Since then, he has established himself as a chronic and acute pain management provider, specializing in such techniques as epidural injections, image-guided joint and nerve injections, and more complex procedures such as radiofrequency ablation and cryo-analgesia. He has been a fixture in New Hampshire and Vermont for more than 15 years, providing these needed services for his patients.

After completing a yearlong fellowship in pain management, he was asked to serve as a clinical instructor at two separate universities for those in fellowship training.  He continues to contribute to his specialty by sitting on national boards directed toward addressing issues and improvement in pain management and office-based anesthesia.

It was through his pain management work that Frank became more aware of the impact of mental health on the perception and ultimately, the treatment of pain.  Thus, he began his education in treating the patient as a whole person and the importance of a balanced approach to pain management.  Through these efforts, he became aware of the lack of resources available regarding mental health options and how it impacts his patients and their community.

Frank brings skill and knowledge in interventional pain management to Cedar Hill Behavioral Health and has extensive experience with stellate ganglion blocks for PTSD as well as ketamine treatments for treatment-resistant depression and chronic pain.
